Forum Sigs
These are created for Gamers and mainly members of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 forum communities. Most gamers visit online forums on a regular basis for game information, advice and general chat. Signatures can be created with any image but most people use renders.
I make these sigs for member recognition in their chosen game forum and the demand for sigs is growing due to the increasing gaming community. Sigs are mainly made with game related material such as game characters or landscapes but some people prefer music related or even TV or movie themes in theirs.
So if you are interested in having a FREE sig made for your favourite forum, just drop us an email.

Sigs are made up of lots of layers and each layer has its own effect applied. In the Above sig, I used the Gradient tool with green and purple as the background. From there, I added brush layers from brushes downloaded from the internet and applied effects to those such as colour dodge, screen and hard light. Then I imported the image of Shane Mc Gowan from my hard drive. I copied the layer he was on and changed the layer to colour dodge and adjusted the opacity to blend with the background. The next step was to finish the sig by adding a few more brush layers and to get the lighting right for the finished touch, I achieved this by using the smudge tool to smudge the background layers over the imported image and I set the layer to screen before reducing the opacity.

This Bono Sig was created quickly, with the use of brushes and shadows to the background I simply imported the image of Bono and worked around it with various brushes and shapes before blending the layers and removing any debris from the image.

This is Bullet Witch character from the Xbox 360 Game of the same name. Again I kept it simple using various light effects on the layers before adding the character to the mesh and finishing with the text. This sig was made for a Forum Member early 2007.

I made this one for a competition, the theme was movie characters so I thought of no one better but the hated green goblin from the spiderman movies. This time I used the character in the first layer and built the sig up around him. you can switch layers on and off in photoshop which comes in very handy sometimes. Here I drew some yellow scribbles to indicate the crazyness of goblin and added some orange light to the background changing the layers to colour dodge which lightens the whole colour for you. The smudge tool was used in the final stages around the figure before adding the frame as a final touch.

Everybody loves the Simpsons so I was pleased to be asked to make this one for a member of xbox game zone. The dimensions are the same in most of my sigs and this one was no different, I just removed the surplus graphics to get the windowed look I was aiming for. Again, I kept it simple by adding just a few simple layers with effects before applying Bart and the text using a handwritten font which you can get from here

Ok this Sig is larger than most of my work but there is a reason. As a member of various game related forums I came accross a character in one of them who challenged me to a sig slagging contest whereby we make sigs to cuss one another and respond by making a cuss sig back. I must say that by the end of it, the above sig silenced my challenger and I haven't heard from him since. So NetBevit, if you're out there, No hard feelings dude.
